About Me Working Abroad

Portrait of Angeline

Hello! I’m Angeline. I’m an engineer working abroad.

On this website, we talk about self discovery through my lenses. My journey takes me through the life as a female engineer, solo travel as a woman and asian food that is gluten free. I spent my most of my life in Malaysia and when I had the opportunity to move abroad, I took it without hesitation.

“Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.”
― Maya Angelou

You’ll see more of my preferences in Resources.

We can do anything if we put our minds to it
Take your old life, then you put a line through it
My love is yours if you’re willing to take it
Give me your heart ’cause I ain’t gonna break it
So come away, starting today
Start a new life together in a different place
We know that love is how all these ideas came to be
So baby, run away with me- Benny Blanco

In France, the life of a female engineer is both challenging and rewarding. She navigates a dynamic work environment, often balancing complex projects with innovative solutions. Her day typically starts early, with a commute through bustling city streets or serene countryside, depending on her location. At work, she collaborates with diverse teams, leveraging her expertise in fields like aerospace, civil engineering, or software development. Despite occasional hurdles, such as gender biases or work-life balance struggles, she remains resilient and focused on her goals.

Her contributions are vital, driving advancements in technology and infrastructure. Outside of work, she enjoys the rich cultural tapestry of France, from its historic landmarks to its vibrant arts scene. Weekends might be spent exploring picturesque villages, indulging in gourmet cuisine, or participating in local festivals. Networking events and professional associations provide her with opportunities to connect with peers and mentors, fostering growth and inspiration. Through dedication and passion, she not only excels in her career but also paves the way for future generations of female engineers, embodying the spirit of innovation and equality.
